The Academy of Engineering Sciences, Singapore (AESS), hereby invites nominations for the 2025 election of Fellows. The Fellowship is one of the highest professional distinctions conferred by the Academy and recognizes individuals who have made exemplary contributions to engineering science, practice, innovation, leadership, or education at the national or international level.
Nomination Period
The 2025 nomination cycle will proceed as follows:
Nomination Opens: 1 March 2025
Nomination Closes: 31 July 2025
Evaluation Period: August – November 2025
Announcement of Elected Fellows: December 2025
Nominations received after 31 July 2025 will be considered in the next cycle.
Nomination Requirements
Each candidate must be nominated by two current Fellows of the Academy, who jointly affirm the nominee’s achievements, integrity, and suitability for Fellowship.
Nominees should meet one or more of the following criteria:
Significant contributions to engineering practice, research, and/or education;
Outstanding entrepreneurship, innovation, or technological leadership;
Creation of impactful engineering innovations translated into successful applications;
Leadership in advancing the engineering profession or guiding major organisations, industries, or research institutions.
Outstanding national or international accomplishments—such as service on prominent scientific committees, contributions to major engineering programmes, or work that has elevated Singapore’s engineering profile—will be given strong consideration.
The Academy also welcomes nominations of promising mid-career or early-career engineers who demonstrate exceptional potential for future impact.
Submission Procedure
Nominators are required to submit:
1.The official nomination form,
2.A comprehensive CV of the candidate, and
3.Any supporting documentation relevant to the nomination.

Notification of Results
Successful candidates will be notified individually following the Academy’s year-end decision and will be formally introduced during the next official AESS event.
