Fellows

Singapore is among the few places in the region supported by an independent academy through which leading engineers and scientists volunteer their expertise for the public good. Fellows are elected to the Academy in recognition of their distinguished record of engineering and technological achievement, and for their commitment to advancing the Academy’s mission by applying the best available knowledge to issues of importance to Singapore.
Our 400+ fellows are widely recognized for their excellence across engineering sciences, advanced materials, information technology, energy systems, biomedical engineering, and innovation-driven fields. Fellows come from universities, research institutes, industry, and national laboratories across the country.
Fellows are elected directly to the Academy by current AESS members or are distinguished members of international academies of engineering and science who reside or work in Singapore. Learn more about the fellowship nomination process.
